Privacy Policy

Last updated October 21, 2026

This policy explains what ElkBee Inc. (“ElkBee”, “we”) collects through www.elkbee.com and the services we run from it, why, who helps us, and the choices you have. Our mobile apps have their own policies: BorrowBee and TenderMart.

What we collect

  • When you contact us: your name and email, and if you give them, your phone number, company or project, the stage you’re at, what you need help with and your message. We also note whether you ticked “Keep me posted”, which ElkBee product you asked about, and how you found us: the campaign tags in the link you arrived from, the website that sent you, and the first page you visited.
  • When you book a free session: your name and email, your phone number and topic if you give them, and the time you chose.
  • When you use the AI chat: your messages and the assistant’s replies, the page you started on, and a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address that we use to limit abuse. If you give your name and email in the chat to book a session or be contacted, we keep those too.
  • When you click through to one of our products: that a click happened, from which page, and when, but not who you are.
  • Emails we send you: a copy of each one and whether our mail service accepted it.
  • Technical information: like any website, our server receives your IP address and browser details with each request. We use them only to deliver pages and to stop spam and abuse.

How we use it

  • To reply to your inquiry, arrange your session, send its confirmation and reminder, and follow up.
  • To keep a record of our conversations with you, so anyone on our team can pick them up.
  • To send ElkBee news, only if you opted in. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link that works with one click.
  • To work faster: we use AI to suggest which inquiries to answer first and to draft follow-up emails. A person on our team reviews every follow-up before it’s sent.
  • To protect our forms and chat from spam and abuse.

We don’t sell your information, use it for advertising, or use advertising or analytics trackers on our site.

Who helps us

These service providers process information for us, only to provide their service:

ProviderWhat they do for usWhat they receive

Some of these providers process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be accessible to authorities under local law. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.

We publish ElkBee’s own posts to our LinkedIn, X, Facebook and Instagram accounts. We send those platforms only our posts, and we don’t receive or keep information about you from them.

Cookies and browser storage

  • We don’t use advertising or analytics cookies.
  • Your browser keeps how you found us (until you send a form) and your AI chat conversation, so it survives a page reload. Clearing this site’s data in your browser removes both.
  • Only ElkBee staff who sign in to our console get a sign-in cookie.
  • Cloudflare’s check runs in your browser when you use a form; see Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

How long we keep it

  • Inquiries, bookings, chat transcripts and the emails we sent you: while we have a working relationship with you or another reasonable business need, and we delete them sooner if you ask.
  • Your newsletter choice: until you change it. When you unsubscribe we keep a note of it, so we don’t email you again.

Your rights

Under Canada’s privacy law (PIPEDA) you can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted, and you can withdraw your consent to newsletters at any time. Email [email protected] from the address you used with us, and we’ll respond within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

How to delete your data

  1. Email [email protected] from the address you used with us, with “Delete my data” in the subject.
  2. We delete your inquiries, bookings, chat transcripts, the emails we sent you and your newsletter choice, and confirm by email within 30 days. We keep only what the law requires us to keep.
  3. To remove the chat conversation stored in your browser, clear this site’s data in your browser.

Our social media apps only publish ElkBee’s own posts. Visitors don’t sign in to our site with Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn or X, so we hold no information from your social media accounts.

Security

Our database runs on servers we control, our console requires a staff sign-in, and our social media access tokens are stored encrypted. No system is perfectly secure; if you think something is wrong, tell us at [email protected].

Children

Our site and services are for adults and businesses. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 16.

Changes

We’ll post any change to this policy on this page and update the date at the top.
