About us
A knowledge and innovation community
ElkBee is a knowledge and innovation community, working to accelerate the transition of ideas into resilient products and solutions offered in our society.
In support of Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada, we identify and support innovation that helps society through its formation, validation and growth processes. We believe that sustainable and repeatable processes are the recipe for success: they prevent catastrophic failure and let teams focus on extending opportunities for a variety of businesses in our society.
Why us
Why founders and teams choose ElkBee
- 1
Convening a network of experts
We facilitate partnerships across business, academia, and the public and non-profit sectors, and create networks of experts through which innovative products, services and systems can be developed, introduced to the market, and scaled up for growth.
- 2
Developing teams
ElkBee provides a range of inspirational education programs and events across Canada and online, for students, postgraduates and professionals. These programs develop skills and capacity, giving people the best practices and knowledge base they need before engaging in any team-building exercise. In this way, we help teams move through the storming, forming and norming stages as quickly as possible. We foster a new generation of entrepreneurs and market leaders to reenergize Canadian and global businesses.
- 3
Attaining financial support
We support and empower ideas by identifying public and private funds that energize innovation. We help teams track progress and draw out a path to success. Our funding partners can effectively fast-forward the operationalization of new or existing opportunities in any energized team. We support exploration and adoption of visions and missions with planned goals and milestones along the way.
- 4
Catalyzing innovation
We nurture innovation, whether it starts in a large corporation, a research institute, or a startup founded by an individual entrepreneur. We not only encourage fresh thinking from beyond the mainstream, we embrace ideas at their inception, and walk opportunities through every stage from formation to validation and growth. Our incubator and accelerator programs provide seed funding, structure and assistance to startups and SMEs, with step-by-step guidelines, partnership building, and business process management capabilities that many teams could not afford on their own.
